Some background information

Church strategist and author Kevin Harney (Organic Outreach) states: "Training is essential. We can't assume that people know how to share their faith. To nurture an outreach culture in your church, you will need to offer consistent, practical and diverse training opportunities" p.180.

I couldn't agree more.

As a pastor of churches in both Texas and Missouri, I understand the complexities of reaching the lost and the need to equip Christians in an ever changing world.

Since 2004, I have been involved in training Christians on how to share the gospel through workshops, media presentations, and outreach events. As a pastor, I have been motivating God's people to evangelize since 1996.

I have a bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies at Oklahoma Baptist University, (B.A. 1996) and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, (M.Div.1999).

I completed a doctorate in Evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from the Roy Fish School of Evangelism at Southwestern (D.Min. 2012).

I also have extensive experience planning as well as conducting revivals. I am aware of the dangers of manipulation and seek to discern a genuine work of the Holy Spirit from a false convert. I have written extensively and conducted doctoral research into true and false conversion.

I am also an avid student of evangelistic history. I am particularly interested in the First and Second Great Awakenings which shaped so much of our American fabric and love to lecture on the subject.

In addition to serving as pastor, I have also been conducting outreach events in many different venues. From 2004 to 2010 I traveled to downtown Fort Worth each week to pass out tracts and conduct one on one conversations with the lost. Our group handed out thousands of Bibles and pieces of literature over the course of 10 years, and talked to myriad of people on just about subject imaginable. We also set up booths in carnivals, entered floats in parades, county fairs and business forums.

I am skilled in apologetics. I have regularly visited the campuses of the University of North Texas, University of Texas in Austin, Truman University (Kirksville Mo.) and know how to dialogue with young people hostile towards Christianity. I have been in debates with atheists and Muslims.

I look forward to partnering with you as you seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
